Flight details bcn-eze
This is an intercontinental flight of almost 11000 km with an estimated flight time of around 13 hours. We choose the night flight which departs at 01.30 am and arrives in Buenos Aires at 11.10am.
The time difference from Spain to Buenos Aires is only 4 hours.
Level has a dedicated Premium Economy Check-in and bag drop, but in our case it was full of families with infants, and the normal economy line was actually quicker. We had already checked in online, but needed to drop of two bags. This took about 20 minutes with a very small line of people. Service was slow.
At this time of night the airport is very quiet, so security and passport control went very swiftly.
aircraft
As a premium economy passenger you get to board first. Level operates a small fleet of Airbus A330-200 aircraft with an average age of around 5 years. In our aircraft there were 42 seats in premium economy, with a 2-3-2 configuration of six rows. Some of their aircraft seems to have only 3 rows of premium economy.
Here you can see the legroom and the seat design with it’s legrest and 12” touchscreen.
In Premium economy you get an amenity kit including this water bottle, a pair of socks, sleeping mask, tooth brush, ear phones, tooth paste, ear plugs and a pen.
We took off on time and left the dim lights of Barcelona behind us.
dinner service
Two meals are also included in the Premium Economy package. A dinner and later on breakfast. About 30 minutes after take-off our dinner was served.
Two hot meal options were available. We both went with the grilled chicken with potatoes. A pretty standard economy meal. It was ok.
onboard
The screens have a good size and are bright. There is a good selection of movies and TV series. Unfortunatly there are no games.
Ok, time for the bathroom or lavatory review. There is a dedicated lavatory for the premium ecomony section at the very front of the aircraft. A very standard lavatory with the basic features which wasn’t kept very clean throughout the flight…
A great thing with Level is that they offer a really good wifi service to all passengers. You get messaging for free during the whole flight. If you which a faster service where you can stream videos you have the choice to pay for your service. You can opt for a 1hr, 4hr or unlimited package. Prices depends on the length of the flight, in our case the unlimited package was 25 euros.
my honest review of level premium economy
We start our descend into Buenos Aires and get some great views on the way in. I have to say the cabin of the Airbus A330 is really nice and quiet.
All in all, I was happy with the flight. Aircrafts are clean, modern and spacious. The flight was on time and we arrived to Buenos Aires quite well rested. I managed to sleep about 5-6 hours. I think the Premium Economy is worth it on a long flight like this.
On the minus side, I would say that the crew wasn’t very attentative. Toilets were not looked after and they seemed tired in general. I understand that departing Barcelona at 01.30am isn’t great for the crew. Another minus was the check-in bag delivery at destination. Priority bags came last on the belt. Same thing happened on the return flight to BCN, where we had to wait almost 30 minutes and they even announced that the bag delivery was complete before our bags came out finally.
