In this blogpost we are visiting Cadaqués in Catalunia, Spain. Cadaqués is located in the very north-eastern part of Spain. At the very bottom of this post you will find our YouTube video from Cadaqués.
We drove from Barcelona to Cadaqués and it took around 2 hours. Through winding roads and a spectacular landscape, we made our way towards Cadaqués.
Cadaqués is a picturesque coastal village in Catalonia, Spain, renowned for its charming whitewashed buildings and stunning Mediterranean views. Nestled on the Costa Brava, it has long attracted artists like Salvador Dalí, who found inspiration in its unique light and landscapes. The narrow, winding streets and serene harbor makes it really special. Cadaqués offers a blend of natural beauty, artistic heritage, and a tranquil ambiance, making it one of the top spots to visit along the Costa Brava coast.
1. Sa Perafita
We stayed 10 minutes outside Cadaques at a beautiful winery called Sa Perafita. Truly a relaxing place with the nature next to you.
We rented one of their double rooms and they look like this. If you are looking for tranquility and a special place to stay for one or two nights, this is a great option.
2. Restaurant Celeste
Let’s head into Cadaques and explore some of it’s great restaurants. There is a lot to choose from.
For lunch we are visiting an Italian restaurant called Celeste. It’s located on a narrow street close the waterfront. Great reviews online and a nice rustic ambiance. We started off with a great Ceviche. Another starter that we tried were these tomatoes topped with Tuna. For the main we shared a Spaghetti Vongole that tasted great.
After an espresso and some limoncello we felt very happy with our first restaurant choice. The bill came to 32 euros and we were ready to explore more of Cadaques.
3. Es Gelat
During this hot summer day we stopped by for an ice cream at Es Gelat along the waterfront. A great place for an ice cream. Prices were reasonable and the ice cream very tasty.
4. Lua – Wine & Soul Food
The sun is setting and we are on the way to dinner. We choose the restaurant Lua, Wine & Soul food. It’s a nice little fusion restaurant tucked away in the heart of Cadaques. Here we tried another ceviche, this time in coconut milk. Great Spanish wine and a fresh salad. This is the Tapa de Mojama, a salt cured tuna on toasted bread. This place was really special! We finished with their Chocolate cannoli. A great dinner in a beautiful setting. We finished our evening by walking along the waterfront. Cadaques is really worth a visit, you should give it a go if you are in the area. With a cold beer and a glass of cava I would like to say goodnight from Cadaques.
