Thessaloniki, Greece

Thessaloniki is a vibrant city in northern Greece, located on the shores of the Aegean Sea. With a population of around one million people, it is the second largest city in Greece and a cultural hub of the region. It has a rich history that dates back to ancient times, with a mix of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influences evident in its architecture, cuisine, and culture.

We stayed at a hotel called Makedonia Palace which had really good reviews on all the major booking websites. It’s located about 10 minutes walking distance from the White Tower of Thessaloniki. The hotel definitely lived up to it’s reputation and offered excellent service, large modern room with comfortable beds and free valet parking. Perfect if you have a car with you.

The hotel prices in Thessaloniki are relatively cheap if you compare to other bigger cities in Europe so it can be worth to experience a real five-star hotel when you are in Thessaloniki. See our YouTube video about Thessaloniki and its surroundings.
